Competitors participate in a two-day race with an average of six time trials and at least two trackings along a route winding through Friuli Venezia Giulia and neighbouring Slovenia, with the charming seaside towns of Portorož, Piran and Izola.
The race takes place against an amazing setting stretching from Trieste, with its beautiful
shore and sea, up to the Collio area, with the Carnic Alps in the background. It offers the opportunity to vary the route and the tourist destinations year after year, thus contributing to the promotion of the whole region and the participants getting to know different stunning landscapes every time.
Trieste and its breathtaking Piazza dell’Unità d’Italia, the largest European square open to the sea, lies at the very heart of this race. Here citizens, tourists, collectors and amateurs will have the opportunity to admire the competing cars in a large paddock in the city historic centre.
Very important is also the route crossing the Collio area around Gorizia, recently enlisted among the top ten tourist attractions in the world. The winning formula is a balanced mix of cars, art, food and wine..
